Mothra vinyl out now | Album reviews.
It’s been a busy time for us here in camp Mothra, we’ve had a great response to the release of Decision Process. Out now on double coloured vinyl, limted to 250 on clear aqua and black hole coloured wax with free digi download. Well over half are already gone. Mothra debut album’Decision Process’ out today.
Our debut album ‘Decision Process’ is out today. You can pick it up over here at our bandcamp and itunes. Years have gone into the making of this record and we kick off a string of shows tonight for its release at the Kings Arms with Heavy Metal Ninjas and Arcane Construct. Cheers to the people that made this album possible, Chris Chetland at Kog Studio, Connor Mesa, Rob Christie,Tom Anderson, Lance Powell, and Julian Pettitt to name a few. Mothra | Decision Process pre-orders available now.
Our debut album ‘Decision Process’ is now available for download from our bandcamp on digital, CD, and double LP. As well as digitally on itunes if you are in NZ. The vinyl has been delayed until March 9th, this is disappointing but unfortunately out of our control. Our album release tour kicks off this Friday at Auckland’s Kings Arms with the Heavy Metal Ninjas and Arcane Construct.

‘Decision Process’ Album release tour announced.
The vinyl for our debut album ‘Decision Process’ is on it’s way from Prague. It will be available on double LP, CD, and all digital platforms Feb 12th .We will start with playing 4 shows to launch the album. The first Auckland show will be headlined by the mighty Heavy Metal Ninjas, and the 2nd show Feb 23rd will be in support of the legendary High on Fire. Tickets here :

Mono debrief, Mothra Christmas bundle, album update.
It was a great night opening for Mono at the Kings Arms a few weeks back, amazing band and we were honoured to share the stage with them. Here’s a few pics from the show. We have another great support to announce very soon.

Splinters video released, 7″ release show and MONO support coming up.
Here it is, the video for ‘Splinters’ off our forthcoming album. This was made once again by our good friend Shaun Leyden from Mintamatics over in the Netherlands. The limited edition 7″ single is also available for purchase right here and comes with a free bonus vocal version of another track, make sure you come to the release show next Friday at the Kings Arms. We are of course also opening for the mighty MONO on December the 10th at their Auckland show, tickets here.

Support for MONO and 7″ single release show coming up!
Hugely stoked to announce we will be opening for the mighty Mono on the last show of their upcoming AUS/NZ tour, Dec 10 at Auckland’s Kings Arms with Greenfog. Thanks to LIFE IS NOISE for making it happen. Mono are legends of the post-rock genre, an incredible band not to be missed. Get your tickets here. But before this monumental show we’ll be playing a release show for our first official release, a 7″ single from our forthcoming album. This will be limited to 150 copies in total. never to be pressed again. It will feature a special b-side track not on the album and free digital download. Mothraband vinyl fundraising campaign.
Here is our fundraising campaign to get our album pressed on vinyl. This is effectively a ‘pre-order’ for the album on vinyl, rather than a general fundraiser with a whole lot of funding options.
Up until now we have funded everything ourselves, including the recording, mixing, production, and mastering of the album. The pressing costs to produce a minimum run of 250 double 12″ LPs, plus shipping costs from the US and duty on top of that isn’t cheap, but with enough pre-orders we can make it happen. Our goal is to get 120 pre-orders, you can also make a small donation to help the cause.
This will be a double 12″ LP, on coloured wax with 8 page colour booklet and gatefold. The cost of each unit is $50 NZ plus shipping, please note the prices are converted to US dollars. The first 20 will be signed and the first 50 will receive a private link to another song off the album while the campaign is underway.
