Mothraband : Helmet show debrief and happy holidays.
Happy Christmas and holidays to all. Kick back, grab yourself a cold beverage and relax. We had a great time opening for Helmet here in Auckland the other night, absolutely killer set from them (as expected), great bunch of guys. We were pleased with how our set panned out too, getting the visuals happening was a big plus. After a small break we’ll be back into more mixing of the album, we should have a few tasters coming your way fairly soon. In the meantime, here’s a clip of 3107 from the show and a few photos. Enjoy.

Helmet support, album update.
We are pleased to announce we will be opening for the legendary ‘Helmet’ next Saturday December 21st at Auckland’s Galatos. This band is a major influence for us, we grew up listening to albums like Meantime and Betty and it is a real privilege to be sharing the stage with them next weekend. Get your tickets here. In other news the mixing stage of our debut album is well under way, we will be aiming for a release early next year if all goes to plan. Cheers, Mothra.

RIP Chi Cheng.
We are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Chi Cheng, original bassist and founding member of the Deftones. He has no doubt helped to influence countless bands like ourselves since the Deftones began. Farewell Chi, our thoughts go out to your family and friends. Much respect. Mothra.
