Well well well, finally tracking is underway, drum tracks for two songs have been recorded…plenty more to come. Some samples of footage will be uploaded shortly.

Mothra progress 2011 (Auckland experimental rock)
Well, it’s been a while since we made a post, but rest assured Mothra has been very busy with recording preparation, video preparation, and deciding on who to mix the record. Someone we hold in very high regard will be working with us, so we are supremely stoked. We haven’t been gigging much of late, one of the band members is having a baby any day now, so we’ll let him get used to his new lifestyle for a’ little while’ before booking anymore shows. We’ve also been working with a new vocalist, and making use of some free recording sessions, testing the waters for sound quality etc. Everything seems to be falling into place. A video/single will be unleashed pretty soon hopefully, followed by the e.p. T

モスラ MOTHRA update (experimental psychedelic rock/metal)
A big thanks to everyone who attended the show last night, great turnout for a Thursday night. We got through the new track relatively unscathed, feels good to have broken that one in as it was a long time in the making. A preview of our upcoming music video has been sent through to us from our man Shaun Leyden in Europe from ‘Mintamatics’, and its looking f&%$#g awesome. We should have some more shows lined up soon. Doing a spot of demo recording next week, also a new potential vocalist in the works. But we’ll keep that quiet for now shall we. Cheers Mothra

New Mothra band merch nearly ready/ March show coming up.
Well we decided to move to a much better screen printer than the unprofessional and slow ‘4 your brand’. Mothra video to accompany E.P (Auckland experimental rock)
A good friend of ours is preparing to shoot a video for us late March in Belgium. He has a script already written, it’s an awesome concept so we won’t give anything away until it’s ready. This guy is the man at making videos, so lucky us. New merch ready on Monday, there are already pre-orders so get in quick if you want one of these limited Mothra garments.

The first run of Mothra tees got cleaned up pretty quick, but not to worry, there’ll be another run available shortly.
