New Mothra merch run. Dillinger debrief, vinyl for the album.

We are thinking of launching a kickstarter campaign to try and make vinyl happen for our upcoming album, but more on that soon. Here’s the soundcloud link to a song off the album, Escapism, incase you missed it.

We had a great night opening for the Dillinger Escape Plan at the Kings Arms last Tuesday night here in Auckland, incredible band, super nice guys. Here are a few pics from the show below.

We are pleased to announce we will be opening for the iconic post-rockers This will Destroy You and Sleepmakeswaves this weekend at the Kings Arms in Auckland, Sat June 7th. Mothraband : Support for Jakob shows/ album mastering.

We will be opening for Jakob as they embark on an NZ tour for their new album Sines. It has been 8 years since the release of their critically acclaimed masterpiece Solace, and the long awaited follow up is nothing short of amazing. You can stream it live here, and purchase the album here. We will be supporting them in Auckland on November the 14th at Galatos, and the 15th at Leigh Sawmill. We are also gearing up to master our debut album…it’s coming.

Mothraband album update, HMN show.

The album is nearing completion, distribution is in place. First offering will be a single/video which will be available digitally and on a very limited 7″ run. The album will be available on double LP, CD, and digitally, dates coming soon. We are playing this Saturday Sep 27th with the Heavy Metal Ninjas before they head off to the Euroblast Fest in Germany. Mothra band : Album update.

Our debut album is finally mixed, artwork is complete, just the mastering stage remains. A stupendous amount of work from Hugh Allan has been put into this to finally get it done. The 70 minute album will be released on vinyl, CD, and of course digitally. We will also be releasing a single/video from the album on a limited run of 7″s. Stay tuned.

Mothraband : Helmet show debrief and happy holidays.

Happy Christmas and holidays to all. Kick back, grab yourself a cold beverage and relax. We had a great time opening for Helmet here in Auckland the other night, absolutely killer set from them (as expected), great bunch of guys. We were pleased with how our set panned out too, getting the visuals happening was a big plus. After a small break we’ll be back into more mixing of the album, we should have a few tasters coming your way fairly soon. In the meantime, here’s a clip of 3107 from the show and a few photos. Enjoy.
