Mothra band last minute show announcement, and more updates…
Late notice but we’ll be opening for the Heavy Metal Ninjas and New Way Home at Auckland’s Kings Arms tonight, as part of their nationwide tour. We are stoked to be sharing the stage with both these bands. Doors are at 8pm, we’ll hit the stage at 9.
If you can’t make this one be sure to check out our show on the 24th of August with Cobra Khan and Cripple Mr Onion, also at the Kings Arms. If all goes to plan we’ll have a full blown projector running for the first time with imagery from Shaun Leyden, the creator of our debut video ‘The Beginning‘. A new limited run of ‘gas mask’ merch will also be available.

Mothra band debut video clip for ‘The Beginning’.
Here it is, our debut music video for ‘The Beginning’. This clip was shot in 4 different countries by our good friend Shaun Leyden. You can check out more of his epic work at mintamatics.com. The track was mixed by Aaron Harris, a member of one of our favourite and most inspiring bands ISIS. We would like to extend an enormous hand of gratitude to both Shaun and Aaron for their exceptional work. We can’t thank you guys enough.

Mothra band May show coming up.
Greetings all, video is coming reeeal soon. Work has even begun on the second vid. Some lovely fellow knicked the hard drive which has caused a bit of a delay. But we have back up, and it’s coming. On May 19th we’ll be playing a show at one of our favourite Auckland venues Whammy Bar, 183 K Rd in St Kevin’s Arcade with two awesome bands Lord of Tigers and Prowler. Mothra band update.
Cool show at the Thirsty Dog the other night, thanks to everyone who came out to see us and of course Brigada and Roache for playing with us. Killer bands. The video we’ve been going on about would’ve been out by now but a minor hiccup of hard drive theft means it will take a little longer. We’ll be shooting some footage for video number 2 today, and we have another show lined up next month at Whammy Bar. More mixing for the album from our friend Aaron Harris will also commence in May!

Mothra band debut video preview (raw snapshots)
